Freelance Writing

I have been published three times in Referee Magazine, a national publication written for referees by referees and circulated to over 30,000 people nationwide. I wrote one 500-word profile on the United States’ oldest high school football referee and two feature pieces. One was about Referee Abroad, a study abroad program for soccer officials. I interviewed eight people for that article! The second was a piece about mental health and referees, focusing on one doctor’s efforts to help softball officials deal with the mental strain that comes with officiating the game.

I’ve written almost 100 articles since I started freelancing over five years ago. All of my articles are on my MuckRack profile, but here are some of my favorites.
